Read the following instructions in order to restore the router's default settings:
Step 1: Open your favorite web browser application, and enter the IP address 192.168.1.1 in the address field. Then press Enter.
Step 2: In the authentication dialog box, enter the administrator's username and password. The default values are admin/admin for the username/password. However, on some Linksys router platforms, the default value for the username is the blank and for the password is admin.
Step 3: Click Administration.
Step 4: Click Factory Defaults.
Step 5: Click Yes in order to restore the factory defaults. Otherwise, click No.
Step 6: Click Save Settings.
You can also reset the default settings of the Linksys wireless router holding the reset button for 10 seconds to 30 seconds. Reset will also remove the password from the default is "admin" without quotes. Moreover, the first method gives router Linksys default configuration of it, but do not change your password.
